General

We work with two kinds of clients. For VantageClaw, we configure AI operations for small and mid-sized businesses — currently construction, waste management, professional services, clean technology, staffing, and waste consulting, with new verticals built during onboarding. For custom development, we build business systems for clients who need something purpose-made — safety platforms, ecommerce, IoT, anything that needs to be reliable, secure, and made to fit. Based in Canada, with infrastructure to deploy anywhere our clients need.

Most AI consultants pitch demos. Most software shops promise everything and disappear after launch. We do neither. Our AI work (VantageClaw) is built around what actually has to hold up in a business — approval gates, audit trails, no auto-anything. Our custom builds ship with the same discipline. If we can’t deliver something we’d run on our own systems, we say so.

Both. Startups need foundations that won’t have to be rewritten in 18 months. Established businesses usually need to modernize what’s there or add capabilities (often AI) without disrupting what already works. We’ve done both. The size of the company matters less than how serious you are about building something that lasts.

Services & expertise

Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Hetzner, OVH (with a Canadian-residency option). Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind. Backend: Python (FastAPI), Node.js. Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, TimescaleDB. Infrastructure: Docker, Tailscale, Caddy, Prometheus + Grafana for observability. AI: multi-model routing across 300+ models, no vendor lock-in. We pick tools that fit the problem, not the trend.

Yes. We’ve migrated paper-based workflows to digital, legacy POS integrations to modern stacks, and SCADA-to-modern-dashboard for industrial monitoring. The pattern is the same: assess what’s there, plan a phased migration with no data loss, and don’t break what’s already working while we move.

Yes. Optional retainer arrangements for monitoring, updates, feature additions, and on-call response. For VantageClaw clients, we also handle platform upgrades and skill additions as part of ongoing engagements. We prefer long-term partnerships over one-shot deliveries.

Integration is core to what we do. VantageClaw connects to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoho, accounting systems, messaging platforms, and custom APIs. Custom builds have integrated with Firebase, multiple POS systems, OPC-UA and Modbus industrial protocols, and many others. Each integration is designed to be reliable, secure, and maintainable — not just a quick wire-up.

Process & timeline

Free 1-hour discovery call to understand what you’re trying to do. If it’s a fit, we go deeper on requirements and constraints. Then we propose an approach with timeline — for VantageClaw, that’s setup + configuration scope; for custom builds, it’s project-shaped. We’ll be upfront if we’re not the right fit and refer you somewhere better suited if so.

Depends on the track. VantageClaw setup: typically running in a day, with iteration over the following weeks as your team uses it and we tune the configuration. Custom builds: scoped during discovery — focused work like a security audit or integration is 2-4 weeks; full system builds are 3-6 months. We’ll give you a realistic timeline before you commit, not after.

Remote-first, Canadian-based, with the infrastructure to deploy anywhere our clients need. We can arrange on-site visits for kickoffs, architecture reviews, or critical milestones if your project warrants it. Most of our work happens over async channels and scheduled video calls — efficient for both sides.

Depends on you. At minimum we need regular access to a stakeholder for requirements and feedback (typically 2-4 hours per week). Some clients want to be involved daily; others trust us to execute and check in weekly with progress updates. Both work.

Pricing & engagement

We offer several engagement models: fixed-price projects (best for well-defined scope), time-and-materials (best for evolving requirements), and retainer arrangements (best for ongoing partnerships). The right model depends on what you’re building and how much the requirements are likely to evolve. We work that out together during discovery.

We typically structure payments in milestones: a portion upfront (usually 25-30%), interim payments tied to deliverable completion, and final payment upon project acceptance. This protects both parties and ensures alignment throughout the engagement.

Many of our long-term clients started with a focused engagement — a security audit, architecture review, or proof-of-concept. This allows us to demonstrate value and build trust before tackling larger initiatives. We encourage this approach.

Security & compliance

We take security and confidentiality seriously. We sign NDAs as standard practice, implement strict access controls, use encrypted communication channels, and follow zero-trust security principles. Your code and data remain your property, and we can work within your existing security frameworks.

We design systems with compliance in mind. VantageClaw is SOC 2-ready (encrypted backups, audit dual-write, data retention policies, vendor risk assessments) and we apply the same discipline to custom builds. For specific regulatory regimes (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.), we’ll be honest about whether we’re the right partner — sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes it’s "you need a specialist for this." We’d rather refer you than pretend.

We provide warranty periods for all implementations (typically 90 days) where we fix any bugs or issues at no additional cost. For security incidents, our ongoing support arrangements include incident response with defined SLAs. We also build comprehensive monitoring and alerting from day one to catch issues early.

Getting started

The best way to find out is to book a free 1-hour consultation. We’ll discuss your challenges, requirements, and goals. We’ll be honest about whether we’re the right fit — we’d rather refer you to someone better suited than take on a project where we can’t deliver exceptional value.

No formal preparation needed. Just come ready to discuss your business challenges, technical pain points, and goals. If you have existing architecture diagrams, tech stack details, or specific requirements documented, that’s helpful but not required for the initial conversation.

For VantageClaw, we can typically have you running within a few days of engagement. For custom builds, discovery and planning starts within 1-2 weeks; full kickoff usually 2-4 weeks after contract signing depending on workload. For urgent needs, we can sometimes go faster.
